Today we gave Glen a small Birthday Cake, one that Grandma and Grandpa Dodge dropped by for him. As expected, he thoroughly enjoyed it. Here are some photos and footage of the event.
Yesterday, we found a toy microphone while cleaning the house…and it led to a fun activity idea. I grabbed the camera, we set up a table and papers, and in no time we were filming “The Dodge Family News!” I doubt this will become a regular broadcast or anything, but the kids sure enjoyed it. We’re sure many of you are wondering why there are so few posts coming in here as of late. We may refer to it as the ‘Facebook effect’ – since the vast majority of our friends are on Facebook, a lot of the smaller updates go there, and the blog goes without updating. But every once in a while, we will get on here and post photos – because a lot of our extended family doesn’t do the whole Facebook thing, but they will visit the family website to see pictures of the kids. We took these pictures a week or so ago, when it was my Birthday. Johanna brought home some cake from our dinner at Rodizio, and we decided to share with Glen. This is what Kodak was made for…though, our camera is Fujifilm…
Tonight I tried to feed glen some carrots and potatoes. He will not open his mouth. I have to make him laugh just to get the spoon through, but lately he won’t even do that. He is becoming wise to my tactics. so finally I said, “here you do it” and I put down the spoon and bowl of food on his tray. He immediately picked up the spoon, opened his mouth wide and stuck the spoon in. All this time he just wanted to do it himself!
