Getting Caught-Up with Summer Pictures
by Mike on Sep.19, 2009, under General, Kidz, Married Life, Technobabble
We’re sure many of you are wondering why there are so few posts coming in here as of late. We may refer to it as the ‘Facebook effect’ – since the vast majority of our friends are on Facebook, a lot of the smaller updates go there, and the blog goes without updating. But every once in a while, we will get on here and post photos – because a lot of our extended family doesn’t do the whole Facebook thing, but they will visit the family website to see pictures of the kids. Hence today’s blog post. (continue reading…)
If Johanna hasn’t said anything by now…

A week or two ago, Johanna entered her Peach Pie into the County Fair, and won “Judge’s Choice” with it! She was so excited, and wanted me to upload the photos so that she could show everyone…
Well, now the time has passed by, and she still hasn’t said a thing…so I am posting the pictures myself. If enough of you comment, maybe she will tell the whole story on here. I wasn’t there, so I don’t have all the details. But I do have the delicious photos!
Glen’s First Taste of Cake
by Mike on Aug.07, 2009, under General
We took these pictures a week or so ago, when it was my Birthday. Johanna brought home some cake from our dinner at Rodizio, and we decided to share with Glen. This is what Kodak was made for…though, our camera is Fujifilm…
It’s Official!

Well, today it finally happened. After being married for just over a year, I finally got to adopt Aiden and James. The legal system can drag its feet at times, but it can also REALLY MOVE when things are right. Such was the case today.
Hey there, Delilah!
by Mike on Feb.22, 2009, under General
Yesterday Johanna and I went out and bought a car. A beater. A 1995 Ford Windstar, to be exact. For a while I have been predicting that we wouldn’t last very long in the BMW with this many bodies to haul around…and waddayaknow, I was right on the money. But the concern was finding something that was affordable. Yesterday, someone posted an ad on KSL Classifieds, and we got the car for $750. Not bad, actually.
Oh, and the title of this post? Johanna suggested we name the car Delilah, and I was happy to oblige. So there you go – a nostalgiaic name for our newest car. Pictures soon to come.
Oh, and one more thing. If y’all could say a prayer that the beater keeps running, I would appreciate it. Johanna just mentioned Murphy’s Law and the new car in the same sentance…and I am now scared for it’s well being.
